Employees, owners, board members, representatives from the bank, auditor, NHO, Vest Næringsråd and the mayor of Øygarden were all present to celebrate the Sotra Group’s 40th anniversary. The entrepreneur bought the disused workshop at Vindenes, west of Bergen in 1980, where he established himself to recycle surplus material from the North Sea.
In connection with the party, employees who have been in service for over 30 years were honored with award medals from “Norges Vel”.
Gifts were given from the companies in the Sotra Group; Socon, Socon Norheimsund and Sotra Anchor & Chain who went to the cancer association (Kreftforeningen) at NOK 1,000 for each year the group has been in operation, a total of more than NOK 40,000.
A total of 120 party-minded guests contributed to a pleasant evening with both great food and drinks at Hotel Norge by Clarion.
